Sistema Huronia Music Teacher - Blaine Scott
Quote from Blaine Scott...
"I am excited and honored to be part of a music community that nurtures music developement in young people. Now that my 30 year elementary school teaching career has moved to youth orchestra I see this as a chance to pass on an older generation's belief that music not only adds treasured experiences that will last a life time to the formational years of these young artists but will give them a true sense of working with others and sharing the gifts they are dedicated to developing for the benefit of many. The Sistema music program has these great hopes for our young people. I am glad I can help it happen.
Sistema Huronia Music Teacher - Katarzyna Stęchły
We are very pleased to introduce Katarzyna (Kasia), a new Sistema Huronia music teacher helping us remotely with the violin and viola students. Kasia joined us in January, 2021.
Kasia obtained a Master's Degree from the Academy of Music in Cracow. She played in various ensembles (string quartet, piano quartet, a piano quintet, and viola duet). She also took part in many master classes including - International Course of Musical Interpretation in Nowy Sacz, Summer Academy of Music in Cracow and many courses organized in the Academy of Music in Cracow where she could learn and observe teaching styles from great artists: Wolfgang Klos (Music University of Vienna), Emile Cantor (Folkwang Music School of the City of Essen), Janusz Pisarski (Academy of Music in Cracow) and many others. She played in various orchestras such as Lower Silesia Philharmonic, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra in the Academy of Music both in Wroclaw and Cracow, Poland’s Małopolska Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Carpathia and recently Kindred Spirits Orchestra in Markham and as a section lead in Music4Life string orchestra in Ajax. During her studies in Cracow, she obtained a teaching certificate. In 2020 she started teaching through Zoom – she treats online lessons and virtual orchestra as a new adventure and a way to help others get in touch with music, which she thinks is even more important during these uncertain times.
